Why do you think that Althea is jealous of Celeste?

Althea is jealous of Celeste because Celeste is one of the most popular girls in her group and also in cheerleading. So Althea wanted to be able to be noticed that she can be one of the popular girls and look pretty like they do but that is her problem she doesnt know how to do it. Until one day she meets this guy that is saying that he can make any of her wishes or any of her dreams come true. She did not believe what the this guy said until the next day she was started to get noticed by people. She felt so different because people before did not even know that she goes to that school it was like she was never born. Althea was now interested in what the guy had to say now because he told her to watch tomorrow because her life was gonna start to change a little. Since then Althea was getting kind of noticed by people a little, she also even started talking to Celeste, one of the most popularest girls there, Althea did not know what to do. So she went to the guy to talk to him to see what he did to change her life. The guy told her that if you want to get noticed and popular you must give me Celeste. Althea was confused did not know why though, then she finds out the truth that he is a vampire.

Dear Ms.Arlequin,

I have just finished a book called Beowulf by the author Penelope Hicks. This was one of the best action books I have ever read. I will be telling about what happened in the end.

This book was about Beowulf the strongest warrior ever to live, the man that they said that had the strength of 30 strong men in one arm. So far now he is king of the Spear-Danes and rules the people there. All the people there honor him as their king because while he is around nobody would think to even bother them with Beowulf as their king. So as time went by he was getting pretty old but still had the pure strength he always had. Until one day this fire breathing dragon invades a cave in their home territory and this is when the king has to defend his people from this horrible big nasty dragon. Beowulf knew that his time will come to leave some one else in charge of the Spear-Danes. so when he went to fight the dragon the monster scratch his claws in Beowulf that he started bleeding. But he still had some strength in him with some help of his cousin he would have died. But once that he saw the opportunity to slay the dragons neck he went for it and the monster fell to the ground with a thud and gushing blood out of his neck twitching. So thats when Beowulf fell to the ground while walking and then he said to himself that he could not make it. So the cousin went to him to help out if he was ok but he was to late to help him now his cousin was named the king and Beowulf's eyes closed and he rest in peace.

my opinion was that it was awesome and that Beowulf did a good job fighting that monster dragon even though he was so old, but he did it for his people and that deserves some respect.

one question i would like to ask you is wat would you do if your brave king was in danger to die like in this situation , would you help him out or not?

response to Beowulf

The book Beowulf right now is about Beowulf getting all the respect from the Geats warriors and wanting to go to the Spear-Danes and free them from the torturing that the monster Grendel is putting them through. Beowulf says that he would go across the ocean with the mightiest warriors to fight the monster Grendel. But when they got there they were introduced to the king Hrothgar. Then later after a talk Beowulf had a talk with the king he told the king that he would go and fight the mighty Grendel alone and with no helmet, no weapons. Beowulf said that he would choke and kill him with his two bare hands and that it would be a pleasure to do that for the king cause they going to get very rich if he beat the monster.But Beowulf said if he is to die then he told the king to give the helmet and weapon back to his king.

I am reading a new book that I picked out called Beowulf from Penelope Hicks the book is really interesting to read about and the book is really awesome.

The book is about this boy named Beowulf who is suppose to be a prince later on but the other warriors keep on spreading rumors that he is not worthy enough to be a prince. But Beowulf got really disturbed by those rumors that he asked his greatest friend Breca to challenge him to swim across the ocean and to fight side by side to defeat any sea monster that stands in their way. So there they went to have a race against each other. But they both new that it was Beowulf's power that kept them alive so far. Beowulf killed any sea monster by sticking his sword and cutting their throat. But until they came upon this ocean storm that has separated them both. They tried so hard to fight the currents but they were no match for that. They both wish the best of luck to each other. Beowulf swam to the nearest land sighting and landed there. To his belief he was reunited with his best bud Breca and they said that they can't wait to tell the people at home about their journey across the ocean. Once they got home and told the warriors about their journey all the warriors treated them with respect and loyalty.

My opinion on the book is that it deserves at least 4 stars. The book is really really awesome so far and very interesting.

One question I would lie to ask you is that if your best friend told you something crazy like that like to go across the ocean would you like to go for it?

Right now I am reading a book called Scream School. Maybe by Sunday I will be finished with the book.

Right now in the book Jake is filming with his dad named Emory but in every scene something has come out wrong and scare every body. But once they stopped Jake and his dad went to walk around this hallway and then they heard footsteps behind them but when they turned around they saw no one there. So later on they were still walking and now they just heard some people giggling but once they turned there was nobody there. Then they heard it in a room but they opened the door no one was there. Emory was the king of horror but his son saw that he was really scared. When they went back outside to start another scene Johnny Scream was standing there. Jake's father told him to go back to his place but he did not move but when he patted him on the back the whole costume fell down. The costume was standing straight up with nobody inside it. So then he said to every one to start the scene but when they all turned around they had the ugliest face ever and that was when Emory found out that the school was really haunted, and that they were not the his actor they were the ghouls and ghosts of the haunted school

My opinion on what happened so far was that it was pretty weird but at the same time it was cool because the king of horror was played by his own game and he was the one that was really scared not his son.

Would you feel good if your dad got scared as Jake's father did after what he has done to you before and calling you a scary cat?

The book that I am reading right now is a called Scream School. So lately what has been going on in this book was when Jake went to the place were this school use to be haunted or as told now still haunted. Once he started to look around for people when he went downstairs and he found this girl named Mindy out of no where and then she told him the whole story of the haunted school. But then once she told him the story she said to look over there because there was one of the ghosts. It actually turned out to be someone else this was a boy named Gregory he came running to them. So then he told Jake that they are here to shoot the movie too. So once they were ready to shoot the movie every one was at there spots. There they started filming but every thing was interrupted when some started screaming because they had a finger in there spaghetti and then some one else found ears in there tacos. Everything was actually true that the ghosts still live there and that they are not gonna let no one inside or not even close to the school.

My opinion on what is happening right now on the book is that it is really awesome and kind of creepy. The book is pretty nasty saying that there is ears, noses on the peoples food but mostly I found that really funny because they got scared and I wondered if the ears and the other stuff that popped out on there food was real or not

I am reading a book called "ScremSchool" by R.L. Stine this book is interesting but at the same time it is not interesting.

The book so far is about Jake's birthday party, he calls his dad to know were he is but his dad told him that he has a surprise for him. His dad said that there will be a driver in a limousine picking him up to take him somewhere. Jake wants to know where he was going but the limousine driver kept quiet. Once the driver stopped the limo he locked Jake inside an old place were they use to do plays. He was screaming to see if anybody was there but nobody answered he walked around and then saw these two horrible figures that said they wanted him to be there star of there show. But Jake got scared and tried to run but they grabbed him before he could do anything. They brought out a pole with the head of Chelsea on it. He struggled with all his force and got out of the nasty grip he started to run and got trapped in a dead end with a lot of cameras there. Since he was so scared he just clawed his way through the cameras, until he was on the ground and then the curtains opened and everybody screamed happy birthday to him. The two ugly figures came and told him that they are sorry that they scared him because it was his dad that planned all this. Jake realized that he was actually shaking and tearing or better said he really crying.

I think that this book should be recommended to people that love to scare others because this book can give some of those people some good tips. Now I would give the book a high five stars because I really enjoy seeing or reading about other people getting scared or some other stuff.

One question I would liike to ask you is what would yopu do if you had a dad like that and always scared you? would you forgive him or would never talk to him again.

I am reading this new book that I have chosen it is called "SCREAM SCHOOL" the author of the book is R.L. STINE. The characters in this book are Jake,Rita,Ron,Devon and Chelsea so far.



The book is about a boy named Jake whose dad is the creator of a movie called Johnny Scream. Jake's friends are telling him that they are glad that his dad is making a scary movie but they would like to know how it feel to be the son of the king of scary movies. His friends keep on telling him that he knows that he is afraid of Johnny Scream but Jake would not admit it. He is always saying that he is not afraid because he wants to prove to everybody that he is not scared of his dads movie. Until one night he goes to sleep and has the worst nightmare and it was surely about Johnny Scream. It all started when he was walking down the street and then he saw a lot of smoke and the smoke was pulling him back from walking. Then he heard his voice saying that he would not let Jake go. So then he woke up screaming with his dad by his side telling Jake that he new that he was afraid of Johnny scream.


What I think about the book so far is that it al least deserves a 3 1/2 stars. I predict that he is going to fing out that Johnny Scream just might be real.

One question I would like to ask to you would be, how would you feel if your the son/daughter of the king of scary movies? Would you admit that you are scared of Johnny Scream?

What was this chapter about? What did you like about it? why?

This chapter was about filming a movie and that the son of the one who's making the movie got so scared that he jumped out of his chair, after watching the auditions though. The poor kid got scared very scared. His name is Joey. What I like about this part was when Joey got scared and when everybody started looking at him. Turned out that every one there actually hated him and never really liked him. Joey felt very stupid and humiliated there. I like this part because what happened to Joey was very funny and very foul. That part of the book made me laugh a lot. I could not imagine my self in that type of situation I would try to hide my face away from every body there that was looking straight at me and making fun of me.

I have just finished a book "The Kidnappers" the characters were Willie (The kid that got kidnapped by the kidnappers in the van also the toughest kid in the class), Joe (The boy that saw everything that happened to Willie),Detective O'Hara(The detective that helped solve this horrible situation) Ernie (The guy that works for Joe's dad but).



The story was about this kid named Willie getting kidnapped. It all started in a gym class when Joe made Willie's nose bleed. Willie told Joe that he was going to get him for this, Joe told Willie that it was a accident but Willie did not care because he made him look like a fool in front of everybody. So then after school Joe was looking for Ernie to drive him home fast. So meanwhile Joe was hiding from Willie until he saw him and then before he could even start running for his life he saw a van stop and a guy with a earring came out, then dragged Willie inside the van. Joe wanted to report but he could not do it because nobody beleived him. So since then those guys have been following him. Then when he went to do an errand for someone he saw them and they got in the same elevator and then they also took Joe. Joe does not know why Detective O'Hara made the picture of the bad guys go on the television. When Joe and Willie heard the door it was the cops that had finally found them. The detective came in and the kidnappers ran away and then the cops crack them down then leave and sent Willie and Joe home.



What I thought about the book was that it deserves at least 3 stars because in the ending they do not explain every thing on how they arrest the kidnappers and what happens next. The author just skips that and goes to were Joe and Willie go home to there families and they start crying. that is the one thing that I did not like about the book at all.



There are some questions Iwould Ilike to ask you. One is what would you do if they kidnapped you? How would you react to what they tell you to do?

I finished a book called Scorpions by Walter Dean Myers. The book themes were Gang, Violence, Family and Death. I liked the book because it shows other kids about what might happen if they join a gang. From my point of view I think it is really dumb to join one. The book is also a good thing to show people who are in it that it can cause somebodies life to go away.



I would really recommend this book to any kids that are in gangs or any person that is even thinking about joining a gang. I think that you should

The Kidnappers RRQ

Why do you think that people do not listen to Joey?



This chapter was about Joey trying to tell his parents to tell Dwayne's parents that he has been kidnapped by these people. He wants his parents to tell Dwayne's parents because if they do not believe a teenager they can possibly believe an adult. they would most likely believe the adult than the teenager because some teenagers are not that matured so that's why they make a lot of jokes like that. But mostly they would believe a adult because they would not really play those type of horrible jokes to other adults. And that is my proof why people would believe elders. He probably feel so annoyed and mad that once they find out that he was kidnapped he would just really like to rub it in the people's face who did not believe him. I hope that happens to him so all the people could start believing teenagers.

What would you predict what would happen in this problem?

What I think is going to happen is that Willie Groves might just get really tortured by the people that has kidnapped him and probably he has learned a very good lesson from all of that. If Joey gets the police to believe him he would be a hero. But I do not think that he would like a hero because it would be kind of dumb to save a person who was looking for you and trying to beat you up. If I was in his position I would not tell nobody anything because that person is stronger than me and wants to beat me up so I would just let those people take him away. I would call his parents to tell them but I would only tell them once if they believed me they would save their son and if not well to bad it can not be my fault.

Scorpions RRQ

How did the book end? would you recommend it topeople you know? why?

The book "Scorpions" was very good but at the end it was very sad. Jamal was getting beaten up by Angel and Indian they mad him bleed. until Jamal heard this loud noise. He coverd his head and then felt a body fall next to him. When he opened his eyes he saw Angel on the floor and saw Indian crawling on the floor. Tito came to help him up and it turns out that Tito shot Angel and killed him. He shot Indian too but he was just badly injured. So they went home. Then the next morning Tito had news for Jamal. Tito told Jamal that he moving to Puerto Rico. It was a really sad moment, Jamal new how hard it is to lose a best friend. So then Jamal said bye to Tito but he just went away .Jamal thought that he was mad because he shot Angel and that had changed Tito's attitude alot. Right when Jamal was going home he heard Tito and Tito came to hug him and kiss him on thecheek and went away for who knows how long.

I would recommend this book because there are alot of kids that love to read about gang books. From my opinion I think that this was the best gang book I have ever read so far.

Monkeyman letter

Dear Mr. Myers,





Me and my class has just finished reading the Monkeyman story we thought it was very awesome. Many people had different reactions to the story but in this paragraph I will tell you about my reactions. My reaction to the Monkeyman story was that I thought that Monkeyman was just being dumb. Then when he explained why he let the Tigros member named Clean beat him up it was all clear. I was never actually expecting any one in the world to do something really dumb. If I was letting him beat me up it my just prove to everyone that they are just bullies and not just bullies but murderers, because they stabbed some kid and killed him.

My favorite part was when Monkeyman called out the whole Tigros gang.That part showed me that he had the guts to call them out and he also showed that he was not scared of those guys. He was trying to show how he would not back down and not let everybody think that he is a pacifist. I really respect what Monkeyman did but know his big mouth might get him into alot of trouble.

The story made me think about that if this is what alot of other gangs go trough too. Also this was a really good story but I was wondering if there can be a kid that could stop all these bad gangs that always are robbing or hurting and even killing innocent people. One more thing that the story made me wonder was that if I was in Monkeyman's shoes I would really atleast try to block my self instead of me letting him beat me up and while I lok like a boxing toy.

Scorpion RRQ

Why did Jamal's mom invite Reverend Biggs to Jamals home? She told Reverend Biggs to go to their home because they wanted him to came to pray with them for Randy. They started praying for Randy that had gotten stabbed in prison. He got stabbed by other prisoners and now is in the hospitsal. If I was in Jamals position I would be mad at Randy because if he was never born I would never had had the gun and I would not have to be worried about the Scorpions.

Scorpion pages: 135-155

Why is Jamal telling everybody that he did not take the gun at school? Why does Jamal only tell Tito? Why did Reverend Biggs come to Jamals house? Who were they praying for?Why?

My thoughts of Scorpion

What I felt about the book "Scorpions" was that is pretty good so far. I felt pretty scared about who Jamal had to lie to his mom that he was not doing or selling drugs for the Scorpions, althoughhe really was doing it. But Jamal is doing these drug selling business for money. the money is for Randy's Appeal.

If I was in his position I would also do it but as long as I have Tito next to me and praying for me. If Iwere the leader of the Scorpion gang, I would do some incredible stuff that nobody has thought. I would actually tell all the guys to leave and never comeback again. If that does not work I would try to look for a real job in a store or selling food instead of drugs. First of all Iwould have said no to the leader of the Scorpions, because there are alot more ways to make more money instead of hustling in the street. And once I have a real job Iwould pray that they would stop what they are doing. It is not good for there health and they can get into serious problems including jail.

RRQ SCORPIONS

Would I like to have a sister like Sassy? To tell you the truth I really do not want her as a sister because they are so annoying. One example that sisters are annoying is that they are always on to you and they try to get you as mad as possible. For Jamal I do not know how he deals with Sassy. If I were him I would hurt her so bad that she would learn a valuable lesson. I do not understand why can't sisters just ignore there brother's business, they have to have big mouths. It would also be a dream come true if Jamal's sister was not even born or just knew how to mind her own business and keep her little mouth shut closed. Many guys wiyh little brothers wish they have a little sister but guys that have little sisters wish that they had a little brother. That is what I would like, to have a little brother and not two annoying little sisters. I would like to have 2 brothers because then I do not have to hear my parents saying becareful. also they are boys so they must like sports and we can play ogerther Sall day. But if Sassy was in that position i would have to play like if she was one year old or something.

My favorite part is when bloop actually hits the ball at the rate these aliens are throwing.When Corny was going to bat the alien named MC Donald almost took off his hands. These aliens mean a real game against these kids. The aliens threw so hard that the ball broke Lucy's favorite bat there was only half a bat in her hand. The first run was for Bloop when he actually hit the ball with all his strength and went running the whole field. But when it there turn to bat MC Donald sent the ball to Pennsylvania. Then one hit he sent all the way up almost to outer space and when Corny was going to go and get it ,it broke right through his baseball glove and into grass.

The thing that was mostly funny in chapter 2 was when Lucy, Corny, and Bloop was when they called themselves the SBD'S which stands for silent but deadly. then these aliens come from outer space and they had the dumbest names in the history of names. They started to introduce themselves one by one. The names that you are about to hear was just to let us earthlings understand that they come in peace. One was called MC Donald which was supposedly a boy so Bloop named him Mack, the next one was Burger king which Jones named him B.K., next was Wendy which really had to be a girl, after HER was Taco Bell. The kids really could not tell what sex they are because they look like some type of soda machine.
